Meet Emma B.!

Emma is currently a Junior at Vanderbilt University, studying Child Development and Psychology. She did gymnastics for 2 years and took tumbling and acro! She has spent most of her life as a competitive dancer and is currently a member of the Vanderbilt Dance Team - how cool is that??!

Emma has worked with children as a dance teacher for 7 years! Emma also spends her time as a research assistant in the Hands-on play lab at Vanderbilt and studies how infants and children with disabilities learn through play! She is a natural at engaging in their imaginary play and always a smile, a song and a camera ready!

One of her favorite things about working at F4F is “getting to see kids feel proud of themselves in a space that’s truly made for them. I love watching their confidence grow, whether it’s mastering a new skill or just feeling comfortable enough to play freely. It’s not only about gymnastics, but about creating a community where every child feels included.”

Emma is proud of her ability to set goals and work hard toward them every day. No matter the challenges, she stays focused on growing and pushing herself forward! Her consistency and dedication to continued learning is evident in how she approaches her role at Flip for Function.

Emma is a busy girl but in her limited free time, she enjoys catching up on sleep, watching reality TV, trying new restaurants, and hanging out with friends. Emma keeps us entertained and on our toes with her never-ending ideas for improving her classes and our program!

We are so thankful Emma dedicates some time to us each week and brings a joyous smile every time!
